Job description

Dieterich Bank is seeking a Part-Time Personal Banker to join our team at our Waterloo Rt 3 branch. The ideal candidate will be available to work three days per week from 8am to 5pm and rotating Saturdays from 9am to 12pm.

As a Personal Banker, you will be the face of Dieterich Bank in the community, helping customers make informed financial decisions while delivering exceptional service and building lasting relationships.

As a Personal Banker, you will:

  • Deliver friendly, professional customer service while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Process deposits, withdrawals, payments, and check cashing transactions.
  • Open new accounts and assist with account setup.
  • Support customers with online banking, fraud inquiries, and account updates.
  • Resolve customer concerns efficiently and accurately.
  • Promote and recommend bank products and services to meet customer needs.
  • Build strong customer relationships and contribute to an exceptional banking experience.

Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of face-to-face customer service experience, preferably in banking or financial services
  • Associate degree in Business or a related field preferred
  • Dependable with the ability to work scheduled Saturdays on a rotating basis
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to identify customer financial needs and provide appropriate solutions
  • Comfortable interacting with customers in person and over the phone
  • Proficiency with technology, including Microsoft Office, online banking platforms, and mobile applications
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and accuracy
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
