Position Purpose
This position is responsible for leading financial reporting, planning, and commercial finance activities for JCB Inc. Sales, with a strong focus on sales performance, revenue optimization, and business profitability. The role will initially be based in Savannah, Georgia, supporting current operations, with an expected future relocation to San Antonio, Texas aligned to business growth and expansion.
The Controller partners closely with Sales, Commercial, and Executive Leadership teams to drive informed decision-making, financial discipline, and sustainable growth.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and forecasts, with a focus on revenue, margins, and sales performance
  • Partner with Sales leadership to provide financial insights on pricing, discount strategies, incentives, and contract negotiations
  • Deliver detailed sales and profitability analysis by product line, region, and customer segment
  • Oversee accounting functions, including accounts receivable, revenue recognition, and credit risk management
  • Develop and monitor key financial and commercial KPIs (e.g., revenue growth, margin performance, DSO)
  • Analyze actual results versus budget/forecast and provide clear variance commentary with actionable recommendations
  • Support commercial strategy and growth initiatives, including market expansion and channel performance
  • Assess financial and commercial risks and implement mitigation strategies
  • Establish and maintain strong internal controls, policies, and procedures
  • Lead the annual budgeting and monthly forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with commercial objectives
  • Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Operations, and Leadership to drive profitability and cost discipline
  • Manage, develop, and retain finance team members
  • Liaise with external auditors and tax advisors to meet US and Group reporting requirements
  • Present financial results and insights to senior leadership in a clear, concise, and actionable manner
  • Other Duties as Assigned

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in accounting, financial reporting, or commercial finance
  • Experience supporting sales, revenue management, or business-facing finance functions
  • Must meet pre-employment requirements (background check, drug screen, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications
  • CPA or equivalent professional qualification
  • Experience in a commercial, distribution, or sales-driven environment
  • Prior leadership experience (3-4+ years managing teams)
  • Strong experience in pricing, profitability analysis, and revenue forecasting
  • Exposure to public accounting or external audit

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Competencies
  • Strong financial analysis skills with the ability to translate data into commercial insight
  • Advanced Excel skills; SAP experience preferred
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence non-financial stakeholders, particularly Sales leadership
  • Strong business partnering mindset and proactive, solutions-oriented approach
  • Effective organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to develop and mentor team members
  • Knowledge of US GAAP, revenue recognition, and financial controls
