Key Responsibilities
  • Support month-end and year-end closing activities for the Belgian entity in collaboration with our global shared services (MGS) teams in Poland.
  • Ensure accurate bookings, accruals, reconciliations, and allocations to cost and profit centers.
  • Be a key point of contact for external and internal audit matters.
  • Support tax and legal compliance processes, including VAT, and other statutory declarations.
  • Evaluate internal systems, controls, and risks, and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Contribute to Belgian and global process optimization projects.
  • Support the FP&A team with financial transparency, reporting, and follow-up.

The Accounting Officer we are looking for: We are looking for someone who is structured, accountable, and principled, with a strong sense of ownership for financial integrity and operational follow-through. You enjoy working with both numbers and practical coordination, and you are comfortable communicating with internal stakeholders as well as external service partners.

Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting, economics, business administration. +8 years of experience in a similar role. A strong accounting foundation, with proven experience in closing periods, balance sheet ownership, statutory and tax reporting. Handles sensitive financial information with the highest level of confidentiality, integrity, and accountability while adhering to professional and organizational standards. Communicates financial information clearly and professionally to colleagues, management, auditors, and other stakeholders. A proactive, detail-oriented approach with a passion for continuous improvement and eagerness to take ownership, contribute to harmonization of processes across the region. Works collaboratively across departments and builds positive relationships. Able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Experience in a multinational, multi-location matrix environment. Experience working with SAP is an advantage, proficiency in Excel. Excellent communication skills in English and Dutch/French, both written and verbal.
