Controller (Promotional Path to CFO)
Location: Eau Claire, WI (Onsite)
Compensation: $110K–$180K + Incentive Plan
We are partnering with a well-established and growing institution. This is a unique opportunity to join a strong leadership team with a defined succession plan to CFO as part of a planned transition within the next year. What You'll Do
- Lead day-to-day accounting operations, including financial reporting and close processes
- Partner closely with the CFO on strategic initiatives, forecasting, and planning
- Support regulatory reporting and ensure compliance with industry standards
- Provide insight into financial performance and help drive business decisions
- Collaborate cross-functionally with leadership across the organization
- Play a key role in preparing for a seamless CFO transition
What We're Looking For
- CPA required
- Background in public accounting (financial institution clients strongly preferred)
- Experience within banking or financial institutions (or strong exposure through audit)
- Progressive accounting leadership experience (Controller, Assistant Controller, or similar)
- Strong technical accounting foundation with a desire to grow into a strategic leadership role
