Job description

Position Summary: The Regional Business Development Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth and expanding the company's market presence throughout the Permian Basin region. This role focuses on identifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining strong client relationships, and supporting strategic initiatives within the oil & gas, energy services, and related industrial sectors.

Work Schedule:Nominal 9 hours Monday through Thursday; 4 hours on Friday.

Additional hours may be required outside normal workdays/hours to support marketing events, client meetings, or required business activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities within the Permian Basin region.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with operators, midstream companies, and service providers.
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets and market growth.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to align offerings with client needs.
  • Coordinate, facilitate, and attend industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to promote company services.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, forecasts, and pipeline in CRM systems.
  • Prepare and deliver regular reports and updates to senior leadership on business development activities and performance.
  • Assist in developing, ordering, and distributing marketing and promotional items to support business development initiatives.
  • Assist with marketing efforts through social media platforms, showcasing company products and services.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5+ years of business development, sales, or account management experience within the oil & gas or energy sector.
  • Strong understanding of Permian Basin operations, key players, and market dynamics.
  • Established professional network within the Permian Basin region is highly preferred.
  • Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and capable of working independently while managing a defined territory.

Work Conditions:

  • Combination of office, field, and travel- based work environments.
  • Frequent travel within the Permian Basin region.
  • Occasional travel outside the region for meetings and industry events.
  • Extended periods of sitting or standing.
