Job description

RECYCLING COORDINATOR
Fulton County Department of Solid Waste
Promotes reduction, reuse, and recycling programs to the community. Shares information
with the public through social media, DSW website, and local newspapers. Explains proper disposal guidelines to transfer station attendants. Assists with curbside collection issues and outreach. Tracks state regulatory compliance, and prepares state required reports. Assists with writing and managing grants. Supports recycling programs, contracts, and research, along with other general tasks related to materials management.
Minimum Qualifications:
A) Graduation from a regionally accredited or NYS registered college or university with a Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, natural resources, marketing, public relations, communication, or a closely related field; or
B) Graduation from a regionally accredited or NYS registered college or university with an Associate’s degree in environmental science, natural resources, marketing, public relations, communications, or a closely related field and two years experience in solid waste operations, public relations, marketing or a closely related field; or
C) An equivalent combination of training and experience as defined by the limits of A and B above.
Must be a resident of Fulton County.
Starting salary - $30.54/hour
Monday - Friday 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
