Job description

Position Summary: All Team Members are responsible for upholding Earth Fares Vision, Mission, Declaration and Customer Service Creed, while adhering to the departments Standard Operating Procedures. The Demo Coordinator must be self-motivated, charismatic, enthusiastic, customer service driven and energetic! They must have a passion for cooking healthy foods and sharing this passion with customers. The Demo Coordinator is responsible for actively demonstrating scheduled product demos, preparing foods (cook, if necessary), product sales and engaging customers around the product on the sales floor.

Essential Functions

  1. Create and execute eye-catching & well-merchandise active food demonstrations while promoting vendor supported products throughout the store.
  2. Monitor and adjust passive demos throughout the day while adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines.
  3. Complete weekly transfers and vendor surveys.
  4. Communicate with Department Managers your product needs for weekly active demos
  5. Communicate with Receiving Manager demo supply needs

Knowledge and Essential Critical Skills/Expertise

  1. Must be an extrovert with a love for talking with people.
  2. Must be proficient in Microsoft programs including Word and Excel.
  3. Must be organized and prompt.
  4. Must be passionate about providing exceptional customer service.
  5. Must be flexible to work nights and weekends.
  6. Must have a love for food and show experience in theatre preferred.
  7. Willingness to work a flexible schedule to include nights, weekends and holidays. Flexibility to support sister stores in the same region when business needs arise.
  8. Must attend work on a regular and predictable basis.
  9. Must complete assigned tasks in a safe manner and in a constant state of alertness.
  10. Must uphold Company policies, including the anti-harassment program.
  11. Must work in a cooperative manner with managers, supervisors, coworkers, customers and the public.
  12. Must uphold the highest standard of integrity, honesty and ethical behavior.
  13. Must work effectively and efficiently under stressful conditions.
  14. Must be able to work varying shifts, including overtime

Experience

  1. Earth Fare experience Preferred.
  2. Theatrical experience preferred a love for food, show and fun!

The knowledge, skills and abilities listed above may be acquired through levels of education and experience, however, any equivalent combination of education and/or experience, which provide an applicant with the listed knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the essential duties and responsibilities of the job, is acceptable.

Environmental Conditions

  1. Works in a fast-paced environment with a focus on customer service.
  2. Will stand and be on ones feet during scheduled work shift.
  3. May work in environments of extreme cold and extreme heat.
  4. May be exposed to odors, fumes, smoke and loud noise associated with working in a kitchen environment.

Physical Demands

  1. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. (In the event an item weighs over 50 pounds the Team Member should have another member of the team help lift the item).
  2. Must be able to bend, reach, stoop, kneel and squat.
  3. Must be able to push, pull, and maneuver heavy loads.
  4. Must be able to stand and be on ones feet during the work day.
