What Do Recruiters Do?

The primary role of a recruiter is to match job seekers with job vacancies based on a candidate’s credentials and a company’s needs. Recruiters save companies time by weeding out unqualified or unfit job seekers, and they help job seekers by connecting them with opportunities.

What are recruiters?

Recruiters are professionals who help organizations find and hire suitable candidates for job openings. They may work internally within a company's human resources department or externally for staffing agencies. Recruiters source candidates, review resumes, conduct interviews, and coordinate the hiring process. Effective recruiters build strong networks and maintain relationships with both employers and job seekers.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Recruiter, and why are they important?

Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS), sourcing platforms like LinkedIn Recruiter, and HR certifications such as SHRM or PHR are commonly required.
