POSITION SCOPE AND ORGANIZATIONAL IMPACT

The Junior Recruiter will support Moss's Talent Acquisition team by driving the sourcing, screening, and coordination of candidates across various business units. Reporting directly to a Senior Recruiter, this role offers hands-on mentorship and professional development in full-cycle recruiting practices.

This position is designed for a detail-oriented professional who can pivot between different hiring needs, ranging from field operations (Assistant Superintendents and Engineers) to corporate and administrative functions (Accounting, Asset Management, and Office support). Under the guidance and leadership of a Senior Recruiter, the Junior Recruiter will develop core recruiting competencies while ensuring a seamless candidate experience and building robust pipelines of qualified talent for both project sites and regional offices.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work closely with your Senior Recruiter mentor to understand diverse position profiles across operations, accounting, and corporate office functions; collaborate with Hiring Managers as assigned.
  • Source and engage potential candidates through job boards, LinkedIn, social media, employee referrals, and specialized professional networks.
  • Review resumes and applications to identify candidates who meet the technical and cultural requirements for various entry-to-mid level roles.
  • Conduct initial candidate outreach and introductory phone screens to assess qualifications, interest, and cultural fit.
  • Clearly articulate Moss's value proposition, culture, and benefits to a wide range of candidate profiles, from field staff to office professionals
  • Manage heavy interview coordination, including scheduling phone, video, and onsite interviews between candidates and multidisciplinary hiring teams
  • Maintain accurate candidate records and real-time status updates within the applicant tracking system (ATS)
  • Assist candidates with the application and onboarding paperwork process as needed
  • Support the team in building diverse talent pipelines through university outreach, military/veteran programs, and industry-specific networking
  • Help coordinate and represent Moss at career fairs, industry events, and internal hiring initiatives
  • Ensure a professional, responsive, and high-touch experience for all candidates throughout the lifecycle of the hiring process
  • Handle confidential personnel information and sensitive candidate data with the highest level of professionalism
  • Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities provided by your Senior Recruiter to build expertise in full-cycle recruiting
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall goals of the Talent Acquisition department

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE
