Department: Recorder of Deeds

Grade: 200

Salary: $26.21/hour

Job Duties:

  • Responsible for supervising the work of approximately 12 to 14 employees, providing customer assistance and records maintenance duties for each of the offices, conducting annual performance reviews, and handling discipline of employees within the supervisor's designated scope of responsibility

  • Duties may include recording real estate documents, issuing marriage licenses, retrieval of recorded documents for copy and search requests and collection of fees

  • Directs, trains and monitors computer system implementation and related functions including recording and data entry procedures on the on-line system

  • Provides customer service via telephone inquiries and runs end of day reports and collect revenue and may be responsible for departmental inventory and payroll functions.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree or the equivalent.

  • Three years of experience in recording real estate transactions, issuing marriage licenses, and the operation of microfilm machines or any combination of knowledge and skills.

  • At least one year of supervisory experience.

  • Must submit to/pass pre-employment background check and drug screen.
