Job description

The Pharmacy Technician is a customer-facing role in a facility that will assist in building a large customer base and growing the prescription volume for an established CenterWell Pharmacy within a Conviva Senior Primary Care Center. This role will assist in building relationships with clinic care team members such as medical assistants, receptionists, and medical providers, as well as patients and members of the clinic.

The Pharmacy Technician 1 will report to a Pharmacist, and will perform the following:

  • Obtain new prescriptions and prescription refill information.
  • Retrieve, count, and measures drugs.
  • Assist Pharmacist in price-checking and restocking of drugs.
  • Accesses, inputs, and retrieves prescription information from computer.
  • Refer physicians' calls and any medical questions to pharmacist.
  • Operate a cash register and perform data entry.
  • Interaction with patients to fill prescription and OTC medication orders, offer consultations with the Pharmacist, and arrange for courier delivery service when needed.
  • Fill prescriptions manually or with counting machine.
  • Medication Therapy Management documentation.
  • Outbound calls to patients for prescription pickup reminders, vaccine reminders, and ensuring that patients are managing their medications
  • Handle multiple priorities.
  • This role will require long periods of standing and moving between stations in the pharmacy.

Required Qualifications

  • Active unrestricted Florida Pharmacy Technician license
  • Minimum 6 months of experience working as a Pharmacy Technician
  • Skilled in using Microsoft Office Suite such as Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, etc. and ability to learn new systems and platforms
  • This role is considered patient facing and is part of Tuberculosis (TB) screening program. If selected for this role, you will be required to complete the TB screen.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working as a Pharmacy Technician in a retail environment
  • Nationally Certified with PTCB
  • Bilingual (Spanish Speaking)
  • Certified to administer Immunizations

Schedule:

  • Jacksonville: Monday to Friday 8:00AM to 4:30 PM with a 30-minute scheduled lunch break from 12:30 to 1 PM.
  • Boca Raton Monday to Friday 8:30AM to 5:00 PM with a 30-minute scheduled lunch break from 12:30 to 1 PM.
  • Plant City: Monday to Friday 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM with a 30-minute scheduled lunch break from 12:30 to 1 PM.

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting.
