Job description

Summary
The primary role of the Senior VDC Manager is to coordinate the use of Building Information Modeling and Virtual Design & Construction related processes to a project team during all phases of the project. Maintain positive relationships with all collaborators including design partners, project teams, and subcontractor / trade partners. This is an onsite position.
Essential Functions
  • Assists the execution of company's role in project workflows
  • Assist with BIM execution plans and strategies
  • Assist development of the project schedule
  • Manage Project Coordination and other BIM-related meetings
  • Build models or further develop existing models to be used for specific needs at all phases of the project
  • Assist project teams with building systems models as necessary
  • Maintain and expand BE&K Building Group's content and libraries
  • Produces site plans, models, animations and renderings
  • Proactively pursues personal development to remain proficient in latest construction technologies, applications, and programs
  • Perform various reality capture processes
  • Participate in the evaluation of new software and technology
  • Develop case studies after completion of project technology implementation
  • Advise and train / educate staff where needed on the value that BIM / VDC can bring to project outcomes
  • Provide technical orientation to business unit employees on company standard tools and applications
  • Attend conferences, seminars and workshops
  • Present at relevant client focused conferences and/or meetings
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Working Conditions
  • The Senior VDC Manager will be required to be in one of the company's offices. Performance of this job requires meetings at off-site locations and jobsites.

Position Requirements
  • BS or MS in Architecture, Engineering or Construction Management
  • Minimum three years of relevant experience
  • Demonstrates solid presentation skills and verbal / written skills
  • Proficiency with all BE&K VDC software platforms

Physical Requirements:
โ€ข Ability to perform physical activities such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, and handling materials.
โ€ข Must be able to work in various weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold.
โ€ข Capable of standing and walking for extended periods.
โ€ข Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
