SUMMARY
Automotive supplier motivated to hire a Quality Manager responsible for creating, documenting, developing, and implementing procedures used to assemble, process, test and/or manufacture the company's products.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Establishes for high standards of quality, reliability and safety.
  • Lead and/or participate in APQP/PPAP activities
  • Monitors production department's conformance with Quality Assurance standards and procedures.
  • Maintains Customer Specific Quality System Requirements
  • Conducts Quality Assurance training for employees.
  • Suggests methods for improving product quality.
  • Interfaces with Program Management, Materials, and Manufacturing.
  • Leads Quality Department
  • Leads IATF16949 initiatives.
  • Responsibility to act as liaison with external parties (customer & supplier) on matters relating to the quality system.
  • Help define production process parameters to ensure products meet customer specifications.
  • Develop, document, and provide for continuous improvement in manufacturing processes, production, and quality.
  • Create and update process Control Plans and FMEA.
  • Develop or revise standard operational and working practices and observes workers to ensure compliance with standards.
  • Perform Problem-solving Techniques
  • Perform Process Capabilities using Statistical Techniques
  • Read and Interpret GD & T
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelors or Associates Degree
  • 3+ years Quality experience in automotive manufacturing environment
  • Experience will be considered in place of degree
  • Familiarity with automotive quality standards (TS 16949 OR IATF 16949)
