Vice President, Sales

The Vice President, Sales is a player and coach who will serve as the primary driver of Clinical Architecture's direct sales success, consistently delivering immense value to our clients. The VP, Sales will be responsible for achieving ambitious revenue and growth targets, aiming to expand the business. The strategic and agile leader will integrate and lead teams across business development, cross-sales, and demand generation to achieve bold topline goals.

  • This role is based on-site at our Carmel, IN Headquarters, five days a week. While we are an in-office organization, we do our best to offer flexibility when needed, ensuring both work-life balance and uninterrupted business operations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute the Business Development strategy to drive revenue growth, market expansion, and achieve Clinical Architecture's sales objectives.
  • Generate and maintain a pipeline through prospecting, strategic partnerships, industry engagement, and targeted market outreach.
  • Build and cultivate prospect relationships by initiating communications and conducting follow-up qualifications to move opportunities into the sales funnel.
  • Build and maintain relationships with C-level and purchasing executives at key prospects in support of sales and growth activities.
  • Strengthening the organization's brand positioning by managing sales goals, performance metrics, pipeline health, revenue forecasting to ensure consistent results. 
  • Establish precise targets and clarify ownership across teams, holding teams accountable to ensure alignment and delivery.
  • Consult with prospective clients to identify challenges related to Clinical Architecture's solutions and services to improve data quality, operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, analytics readiness, and patient outcomes.
  • Lead complex sales cycles from discovery and solution position through proposal development, contract negotiation, and successful close.
  • Build strong relationships with internal teams to improve the transition process from growth to client delivery.
  • Adapt the team structure to support a balanced growth strategy across Clinical Architecture's products and services. 
  • Identify and assist in resolving challenges that could prevent account retention, expansion, and referrals.

Qualifications

  • 5 to 10 years of experience leading large growth organizations that include sales, business development, and cross-selling. 
  • Demonstrated strength in coordinating sales strategies across various call points and levels, including C-suite executives, service line leaders, and middle management. 
  • Experience successfully selling technology products and services. 
  • Deep understanding of the healthcare IT provider landscape, with a particular emphasis on hospitals and health systems. Established relationships within this sector are a strong plus. 
  • Enthusiasm for managing large revenue targets and the ability to rally interdisciplinary teams to achieve these goals. 
  • A balance of strategic planning acumen and an entrepreneurial mindset to identify and capitalize on quick wins.
