Position Summary

The Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for leading the company's Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure compliance with customer, regulatory, ISO, and IATF requirements. This position oversees quality assurance operations, drives continuous improvement initiatives, manages customer and supplier quality, and provides leadership to the Quality team to achieve organizational quality objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, maintain, and continuously improve the Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Serve as the plant's ISO/IATF Management Representative and coordinate internal and external audits.
  • Manage customer quality issues and corrective actions using 8D methodology and root cause analysis.
  • Ensure timely completion of customer PPAP requirements and support new product launches.
  • Conduct product and process capability studies and monitor quality performance metrics.
  • Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, and suppliers to resolve quality issues and improve product quality.
  • Develop and maintain quality policies, procedures, and documentation.
  • Analyze quality data and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Hire, train, coach, and evaluate Quality department personnel while directing daily department activities.
  • Support supplier quality initiatives, customer audits, and regulatory compliance.
  • Present quality performance, audit results, and improvement initiatives to management.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 8-10 years of quality assurance experience in a manufacturing environment, including supervisory experience. (preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, IATF 16949, PPAP, APQP, FMEA, SPC, MSA, and 8D problem-solving methodologies.
  • Strong leadership, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, customer requirements, and quality standards.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; Minitab experience preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Physical Requirements & Work Environment
  • Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, communicate, and use hands and arms.
  • Occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Manufacturing environment with moderate noise and occasional exposure to moving mechanical equipment.
