The Purchasing Assistant is a highly motivated individual who is eager to learn all aspects of the LOC operating systems and processes. They will work to develop trusted relationships with Division leaders in a high-performance culture that emphasizes quality work performance and excellent division support.
Your Responsibilities on the Team
  • Set-up and maintain plan take-off information, including complete entry for new and revised plans.
  • Set-up and maintain option take-offs for all plans/communities within their division(s) of responsibility.
  • Monitor home site (lot) budgeting in compliance with projected start dates.
  • Reviewing preliminary lot starts prior to finalizing.
  • Interact with estimating and division purchasing to resolve any issues.
  • Generate and maintain supplier/trade partner item pricing by utilizing the upload/download process.
  • Update purchase orders as directed by division partners to maintain current cost, quantities or Trade Partners.
  • Respond to varying workload and pace as defined by the business needs.
  • Process Z- Report tickets.
  • Process AV report tickets.
  • Process PO deletion tickets.

Your Toolbox
  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Computer literate with efficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
  • JD Edwards experience preferred.
  • Strong written, verbal, and organizational skills.
  • Professionally perform multiple, detail oriented tasks with simultaneous deadlines.
  • Possess strong work ethic, integrity, and loyalty.
  • Be a team player with ability to work under pressure.

Physical & Office/Site Presence Requirements:
This is primarily a sedentary office position which requires the incumbent to have the ability to operate computer equipment, speak, hear, bend, stoop, reach, lift, and move and carry up to 25 lbs. Finger dexterity is necessary.
