Job description

Organizational Change Management (OCM) Consultant to drive successful adoption of key initiatives for our client in the Washington, D.C. area. This consultant will leverage their deep understanding of change management methodologies, including Prosci's ADKAR model and Kotter's 8-Step Process, along with Agile principles and organizational behavior, to facilitate organizational improvements. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing change across diverse projects, including those utilizing Lean Agile and Waterfall approaches, and possess exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and facilitation skills to effectively engage individuals at all levels, including C-suite executives. Experience in enterprise transformations, establishing OCM Communities of Practice, developing comprehensive communication and change management plans, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement are essential for success in this impactful role.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive organizational change management strategies and plans aligned with project objectives and organizational goals.
  • Conduct thorough change impact assessments, identify potential resistance, and develop effective user adoption plans.
  • Apply the Prosci ADKAR model and Kotter's 8-Step Process to guide change initiatives and ensure successful transitions.
  • Create and deliver targeted communication strategies and plans to inform, engage, and support stakeholders throughout the change lifecycle.
  • Facilitate workshops, presentations, and training sessions to build awareness, understanding, and buy-in for change initiatives.
  • Engage and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, including senior leadership, to address concerns and ensure alignment.
  • Establish and nurture an OCM Community of Practice to foster knowledge sharing, best practices, and continuous improvement in change management capabilities.
  • Develop and implement new hire onboarding, mentoring, and buddy programs to support employee integration and engagement.
  • Utilize data-driven insights through ADKAR surveys and stakeholder/empathy interviews to inform change strategies and measure effectiveness.
  • Apply continuous process improvement methodologies to enhance change management processes and outcomes.
  • Facilitate virtual meetings and collaborative sessions using MS Teams (including breakout rooms, polling, surveys), FigJam, Mural, and MS Team Whiteboard.
  • Contribute to and participate in SAFe PI Planning sessions.
  • Utilize JIRA and Confluence for project management, collaboration, and knowledge sharing.
