Job description

We are a Southern California-based Public Works Consulting firm specializing in:

  • Engineering Project Management
  • Program Management
  • Construction Management & Inspection
  • Staff Augmentation
  • Public Works Inspection Services

Our clients include California cities, water districts, sewer districts, and other public agencies. The firm submits approximately 40 or so proposals and Statements of Qualifications (SOQs) annually.

Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Part-Time/As-Needed Proposal Reviewer to support our proposal efforts. This is a fully virtual position with flexible hours dependent upon proposal workload and deadlines.

The firm already has an experienced Proposal Writer. The Proposal Reviewer will work closely with the Firm's Office Administrator and Proposal Writer to review and redline proposals before final submission.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Review Request For Proposals (RFPs), Request For Qualifications (RFQs) and SOQs
  • Identify the RFPs', RFQs' and SOQs' requirements
  • Assist in selecting the appropriate proposal template
  • Coordinate with the firm's Office Administrator and Proposal Writer
  • Review, proofread, and redline draft technical proposals
  • Ensure compliance with the RFP/RFQ/SOQ requirements, including: Page limitations, proposal organization/outline/formatting, submission deadlines and other requirements
  • Review grammar, clarity, and overall proposal quality
  • Perform one or more rounds of reviews prior to executive signature and submission

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience reviewing or preparing proposals for California public agencies
  • Familiarity with municipal/public works consulting services preferred
  • Strong proofreading, editing, and organizational skills
  • Excellent written communication and attention to details
  • Ability to work independently and meet proposal deadlines
