The Senior Proposal Engineer is a dynamic and multifaceted role supporting the sales and service teams by providing technical expertise, preparing detailed proposals, and ensuring exceptional customer engagement. This role involves working across departments to deliver tailored solutions in the energy sector, particularly focused on power transformers and related services.
How You'll Make an Impact
  • Develop comprehensive and competitive proposals for power transformer services, including installations, maintenance, and testing.
  • Evaluate project risks and create strategies to mitigate them, ensuring cost efficiency for the customer.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (engineering, project management, logistics, and field service) to gather technical information and ensure project feasibility.
  • Provide technical expertise and support to the sales team and customers, addressing inquiries and tailoring solutions to meet customer needs.
  • Engage directly with customers to understand their requirements, offer technical assistance, and conduct site visits as necessary.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and service delivery.

What You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field, OR equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years as field service technician on power transformers.
  • 8+ years Experience with transformers services
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly.
  • Proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and tools like Salesforce.
  • Detail-oriented and eager to learn. Collaborative team player with a commitment to meeting deadlines.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
