Summary
We have a current opportunity for a remote Proposal Manager position supporting Redwire Space's Proposal Center of Excellence. In this role you will be responsible for end-to-end proposal management for multiple unclassified and potential classified proposals, dependent on the ability to obtain a security clearance, for all of Redwire's offerings. Experience and a thorough understanding of Shipley Proposal Management processes are essential to ensure strict adherence to industry best practices and internal procedures throughout the proposal lifecycle.
The Proposal Manager will develop, plan and schedule proposals. The position will be responsible for compiling cost information, schedule information, and technical elements in accordance with the solicited request from a customer. The Proposal Manager will participate and/or lead reviews leading to the submission of proposal documents and will closely manage a schedule that outlines critical milestones and decision points. The Proposal Manager will work with cross-functional leads to ensure all aspects of a bid have been reviewed and approved by the appropriate decision-makers. The ideal candidate will be well-organized, pay close attention to details, and have excellent communication and writing abilities.
Responsibilities
  • Leading each phase of proposal development applying Redwire's version of the Shipley proposal process.
  • Ability to shred solicitations with a meticulous attention to detail in reviewing RFP requirements and ensuring proposal compliance.
  • Organizing and leading proposal review meetings, regular checkpoints with proposal team members, and preparing materials for executive-level reviews, as required.
  • Project management, creating, communicating, and maintaining a detailed proposal schedule with critical milestones.
  • Collaboration and leadership, assigning, tracking, and coordinating inputs from proposal contributors including functional leads, subcontractors, and internal management to ensure all proposal requirements are fulfilled.
  • Generating and communicating reports to all levels of the team including leadership, engineering, program management, contracts, and others, such as third-party consultants, as required.
  • Overseeing final proposal review, approval, and submission.
  • Organizing and archiving lessons learned for all proposal efforts.
  • Making contributions to proposal-related policies and processes within the company.
Ideal Experience
  • B.S./B.A. degree in a relevant field and 8+ years of relevant experience or a Masters degree in a relevant field and 6+ years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with end-to-end proposal management for Sub-contractor and Prime bids.
  • Proficiency in technical writing and creating "one voice" messaging.
  • Proposal development tools proficiency: MicroSoft Office Product Suite (including advanced Word, Powerpoint, Excel), Adobe Acrobat, SharePoint and Teams.
  • Experience managing multiple proposals simultaneously.
  • Experience with Business Development processes, capture process, and pipeline management and keeping the team focused.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Excellent time management and self-starting abilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Adaptability and resilience to adjust to shifting priorities and RFP changes.
  • Eligible for a TS//SCI clearance
  • Fundamental understanding of the U.S. government and aerospace prime acquisition process, including proposal instructions and evaluation criteria with a focus on national security-related activities.
