Job description

As part of Tetra Tech Digital Systems, we are seeking a highly skilled and creative Proposal Specialist to join the growing Proposal Operations team. This role is responsible for leading the preparation of thoughtful, compliant, and high-quality proposals, statements of qualification, and presentations within the Digital Systems sector. We are looking for a proactive, detail-oriented candidate who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is passionate about elevating proposals with graphics and able to translate complex engineering content into clear, visually appealing materials. They will effectively prioritize tasks, manage multiple deadlines, and uphold high standards of quality while maintaining a professional and positive attitude. Excellent communication skills are critical as the candidate will work closely with multiple stakeholders on each project. This position is fully remote and will collaborate with teams throughout the United States.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the proposal development process from initial planning to final submission.
  • Manage the proposal development schedule to meet internal and external deadlines.
  • Lead strategic and collaborative conversations with pursuit teams about differentiators and competitor evaluation.
  • Coordinate with pursuit team members, divisional resources, and subconsultants as needed to gather and/or develop content.
  • Design polished document layouts by creating custom templates and taking initiative to craft impactful graphics (callouts, matrices, infographics, etc.) using the Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Thoughtfully write and edit high-impact custom content focused on differentiators, particularly in cover letters, executive summaries, firm information sections, resumes, and project descriptions.
  • Ensure compliance with RFP/RFQ requirements as well as Tetra Tech brand standards.
  • Prepare visually engaging presentation decks in Microsoft PowerPoint by creating custom templates and dynamic graphics.
  • Enter and organize pursuit information in internal databases to ensure accurate and accessible records.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and contribute to the development and refinement of Proposal Operations processes.
  • Work with project managers as well as staff in Proposal Operations, Marketing, Sales Support, and Business Development to support strategic and coordinated efforts including lead identification, pre-positioning, etc.
  Qualifications
  • 3-10 years of experience in proposal development, proposal writing, or technical writing.
  • Exceptional editing and proofreading skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Graphics, Communications, or a related field preferred; equivalent years of relevant experience will be considered.
  • Familiarity with the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (A/E/C) consulting industry is highly desirable. 

  • Demonstrated ability to create high-quality document layouts and compelling content. 
  • Strong storytelling skills with the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and effectively. 
  • Experience developing creative graphics and visually engaging proposals.
  • Portfolio showcasing professional proposal materials, document design, and content development preferred.
