Job description

Lifeguard - Residential Apartment Community

Reports to: Property Manager

Location: Woodhill Apartments in Newark, NY

Salary: $20.00 per hour

Season: Memorial Day through Labor Day

**MUST be CPR certified**

Summary:

We are seeking multiple seasonal certified lifeguards, for our residential apartment community. Must be able to work a flexible schedule, 25-30 hours per week. *Including weekends and holidays!!

Seasonal Stay bonus will be awarded at the end of the season if certain criteria is met during employment.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain safety, order and discipline in accordance with pool rules.
  • Respond to patrons in distress and administer first aid and/or CPR.
  • Monitor the pool area and report any unsafe or hazardous conditions.
  • Interact with patrons in a pleasant and professional manner.
  • Clean pool restrooms daily.
  • Maintain pool chemicals to acceptable state guidelines.
  • Additional duties as required by manager especially during periods of inactivity in pool area.

Skills:

  • Must be an excellent swimmer
  • Must have a certification in lifesaving particularly the Red Cross Advanced Lifesaving Certificate
  • Must have specific training in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)
