Job description

Job Title : Operations Support / Operations Supervisor

Location : Lansing, MI

Position Overview:

  • We are seeking a motivated and adaptable Operations Support / Operations Supervisor to support daily manufacturing operations in a fast-paced production environment. This role will serve as a key operational resource, learning all Operations Cell functions and providing leadership coverage when Cell Supervisors are unavailable. The successful candidate will work closely with production, materials, engineering, and quality teams to ensure operational goals, production schedules, and continuous improvement initiatives are achieved.
  • This position offers an excellent opportunity for an individual who enjoys problem-solving, process improvement, and working directly with production teams in a manufacturing environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Learn and become proficient in all Operations Cell functions to provide supervisory coverage as needed.
  • Oversee multiple Operations Cells during weekend and off-shift operations.
  • Lead and support special projects focused on improving operational efficiency and productivity.
  • Identify, develop, and implement process improvement initiatives to optimize manufacturing performance.
  • Research and evaluate equipment, tools, and operational resources to support production needs.
  • Monitor production schedules and ensure manufacturing targets are achieved on time.
  • Coordinate with Materials, Engineering, and Quality teams to resolve operational issues and maintain workflow efficiency.
  • Ensure employees maintain required training certifications and remain current on all operational procedures.
  • Conduct 6S audits and inspections, track corrective actions, and ensure timely closure of open action items.
  • Support a safe, organized, and productive manufacturing environment.
  • Assist with day-to-day operational challenges and provide leadership support across the production floor.
