Job description

Title: Business Analyst

Location: Detroit MI (Hybrid)

***Looking for candidates that have more healthcare experience specifically with Medicare. And candidates with experience with Smartsheet and building out projects, reports and tracking within that tool***
Will this position be required to work onsite for any reason at any time? Yes, depends on the week, Assume 1-3 days per week in office.
Engagement Description –
Perform technology functions to include but not limited to business and systems analysis, application development and process improvement. Serve as a liaison between the business area and the IT organization as needed. Identify, document and communicate system and process changes necessary to improve system and operational performance measures. Possess an in-depth knowledge of line of business while contributing to the identification, analysis and recommendation of technical process improvement initiatives. Design, create and implement the technical solutions. Support one or more low to moderately complex business processes. Bachelors degree in related field preferred. One (1) year of relevant technical or business work experience required. Experience in managing projects required. Demonstrated knowledge preferred in: system development life cycle, process design, re-engineering, and organization transformation, Six Sigma, CMMI, ITIL, or computer programming languages.
Top 3 Required Skills/Experience –
• Knowledge of Project Management methodologies, including project plan analysis, work breakdown structure, issue management, meeting scheduling, documenting notes, action items, risk, issues, and decisions. Understanding of dependencies, milestones, and critical path.
• Knowledge of Data Architecture and Data Management practices, including data governance, data modeling, data quality management, reporting structures, information lifecycle management, and the ability to organize, maintain, and leverage data assets to support business objectives and decision-making.
• Knowledge of Business Analysis methodologies, including requirements gathering, process mapping, stakeholder engagement, root cause analysis, business process improvement, documenting business and functional requirements, and translating business needs into actionable solutions and recommendations.
Required Skills/Experience – The rest of the required skills/experience. Include:
• Healthcare, specifically government regulated products i.e. Medicare, Medicaid
• Strategic Narrative Development
• Data Architecture/Management

Preferred Skills/Experience – Optional but preferred skills/experience. Include:
• Minimum 3 years project management experience.
• Project management training or certification (CAPM or PMP) preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of health care, insurance, or related experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of Smartsheet, AI (Copilot/SecureGPT)
Education/Certifications – Include:
• Bachelor's Degree Preferred in areas of Business, Public Health, Data Analytics or similar
• PMP or CAPM Certification preferred.
