WGS is seeking experienced program managers (PM) for multiple us Department of War (DoW) programs.  The sphere of influence for PMs at WGS involves all aspects of the business to include program capture, execution, and growth, with a principal goal of customer satisfaction and providing value to the warfighter.  Our variety of programs include systems engineering, product development, integration and test, Independent Validation and Verification, worldwide deployment, training and support.
WGS is a communications company that provides electronic system solutions to national security challenges.  Our expertise includes digital and RF communication technologies, cyber, signals intelligence electronic warfare, multi-domain Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR). We deliver optimized operational performance for systems installed on various types of manned and unmanned (UAS and drone) platforms.  We support our veterans.
Duties and Responsibilities:

·        Serve as the main customer interface for the company, providing communication and coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
·        Manage daily activities to ensure performance within cost, scope, and budget.
  • Assure compliance with WGS AS-9100 Quality Management System (QMS), DCAA, DSCA, CMMC and best commercial practice policies and procedures.
·        Employ methods to anticipate, identify and mitigate program risk throughout the program life cycle.
·        Negotiate scope changes with customers and manage tradeoffs as needed.
·        Provide leadership and guidance to the integrated program team to achieve optimized effectiveness.
·        Assist in new bid and proposal efforts and generate new business with existing customers.
·        Provide optimum transparency to executive management through organized reporting, program reviews and effective daily communication.
  • Prepare for and participate in contract/subcontract negotiations.
  • Assist in Basis of Estimate (BOE) creation
  • Serve as an example of the values and culture of the organization
 

Qualifications:

  • Refined customer interface and presentation skills
  • Successful track record with complex aerospace/defense programs.
  • Excellent leadership and oral and written communication skills
  • TS Security Clearance preferred
Work environment:
·        Work will be performed in an office environment, laboratories, test ranges, aircraft hangars, aboard aircraft and customer facilities.
·        Testing may require the candidate to fly on contractor or government owned and operated aircraft.
·        A majority of the work will be performed in Frederick MD, Huntsville AL, Washington D.C., or other locations depending on program needs.
·        Occasional travel will be required
