JOB TITLE: PROGRAM MANAGER III

DEPARTMENT: PROGRAM MANAGEMENT

REPORTS TO: SENIOR PROGRAM MANAGER

CLASSIFICATION: EXEMPT

PRIMARY FUNCTION

The Program Manager III will lead and oversee all phases of assigned programs from inception to completion, ensuring the successful execution to meet business and financial goals. This role involves being accountable for the cost, schedule, and technical performance of all programs. The Program Manager III will act as the main point of contact for customers, lead program reviews, establish design and development criteria, monitor progress against master plans, and direct the efforts of technical, manufacturing, and administrative staff assigned to the programs.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Direct all phases of programs from inception through completion, ensuring successful achievement of business and financial objectives.
  • Ensures all contracted programs meet internal and client expectations with respect to quality, budget, delivery timelines and strategy.
  • Create contingency plans with appropriate input from key team members and implement a revised project schedule, scope, or budget promptly.
  • Manage all programs resources to satisfactorily meet programs requirements and objectives within the scope of work (SOW).
  • Minimize all costs and risks to the programs while ensuring the highest of quality
  • Develop and maintain Program Plan to include schedules, budgets, and resources
  • Manage program risks and issues as well as identify opportunities.
  • Provide regular project status updates to senior management.
  • Ensure compliance with all DoD and FAR regulations.
  • Track project performance, specifically, to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals.
  • Develop and manage annual budgets for projects and meet budgetary objectives, adjusting project constraints based on financial analysis
  • Perform other duties as assigned

PREFERRED

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
  • Experience with NAVAIR

BASIC REQUIREMENTS

  • 12+ years of related Program/project Management experience. B.S. + 8 years of demonstrated experience in Program Management may be considered. Degree should be focused on Business, Engineering, IT, Computer Science, or other related fields. An A.S. + 10 of relevant Program management may be considered
  • Demonstrated expertise in Department of Defense, US, and other military branches
  • Knowledge and experience in Aerospace or Defense Industry
  • Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices
  • Proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
