Description
The Student Advocacy Resource Center invites applications for a Program Coordinator II to join their team. The Program Coordinator II is an essential member of the Student Advocacy Resource Center (SARC), serving as a primary point of contact for students, campus partners, and community members while supporting the department's daily operations and mission to provide trauma-informed advocacy, prevention education, and student-centered services. Success in this role requires exceptional customer service, strong organizational and coordination skills, sound judgment, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while fostering an inclusive and welcoming environment. The Program Coordinator II works collaboratively across campus to support efficient operations, meaningful student engagement, and high-quality administrative services.
Examples of Duties and Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for student questions regarding SARC services and programs.
  • Respond to and direct walk-in traffic in a positive, professional, and welcoming manner.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality with student and office information and ensure student staff adhere to the same expectations.
  • Provide administrative support to SARC staff in the management and maintenance of client records.
  • Assist with the coordination of campus-wide programming and outreach events throughout the academic year.
  • Perform financial and administrative processes, including submitting payroll for approval and organizing monthly purchasing reconciliations.
  • Maintain supply inventory, coordinate supply orders, and communicate with approved vendors as needed.
  • Use a variety of systems and databases, including Banner, Emburse, GrizHub, GrizMart, UMDW, and other systems as needed.
  • Promote the visibility and awareness of SARC services throughout the campus community.
  • May work occasional evening or weekend hours.

Minimum Qualifications
  • High School diploma and two (2) years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to provide professional, responsive, and inclusive customer service to students, clients, community members, or other populations.
  • Experience building positive working relationships and collaborating effectively with individuals from a variety of backgrounds.
  • Experience organizing and prioritizing multiple responsibilities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Experience handling confidential information or records and exercising appropriate judgment when working with sensitive information.
  • Experience using technology, databases, and administrative systems to support services, programs, or office operations.
  • Experience coordinating or supporting programs, events, outreach activities, or educational initiatives.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • One (1) year experience performing administrative functions in an office setting.
  • Familiarity with higher education.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with recordkeeping, and data input/maintenance.
  • Familiarity with survivor-centered, trauma-informed approaches.

Additional Information
Compensation Title: Program Coordinator II
Union: FOCUS-MFPE
Work Schedule: Full-time, 1.0 FTE (40 Hours a week), Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, 12 months/year or Academic Year (10 months/year, August through May) schedule depending on employee preference.
