Job description
The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center seeks a Program Coordinator to support the Department of Interventional Radiology within the Division of Diagnostic Imaging. The Program Coordinator, Education plays a central role in coordinating research and educational programs, managing administrative operations, and supporting learners across multiple training levels. The Program Coordinator, Education collaborates closely with Program Leadership, faculty, and institutional partners to ensure efficient program delivery and compliance with policies.
UT MD Anderson is a leading institution focused on cancer care, research, education, and prevention. The Department of Interventional Radiology supports innovative diagnostic and therapeutic procedures and maintains robust educational programs for trainees, students, and visiting professionals.
The ideal candidate will bring a master's degree and demonstrated experience in administrative or program coordination roles, preferably with supervisory or managerial exposure in a patient care environment. Strong organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple educational programs and stakeholders, and proficiency in handling recruitment processes, compliance tracking, and program operations are highly valued.

Responsibilities
Program Operations & Compliance
• Serve as primary contact for interpretation and application of policies, procedures, and program guidelines
• Collaborate in developing and implementing operational policies and standards
• Identify and report compliance issues and assist in resolving duty hour violations
Administrative Coordination & Liaison Support
• Provide administrative supervision and support to residents, including scheduling meetings and preparing agendas
• Record, maintain meeting minutes, and develop reports for Program Leadership
• Act as liaison between residents and hospital administration, departments, and affiliated institutions
• Coordinate resident recruitment, orientation, affiliation agreements, and external rotations
Recruitment & Records Management
• Review and evaluate applications for completeness and coordinate interview notifications
• Maintain confidential resident files and track attendance for required educational activities
• Maintain research and medical student database for appointment status
Scheduling & Communication
• Track resident work hours, activities, and schedules in electronic systems
• Maintain and distribute rotation, vacation, and leave schedules
• Communicate daily program activities, including conferences and announcements, to residents and faculty
Program Support & Financial Administration
• Assist with planning and executing recruitment, orientation, graduation, and program events
• Process resident reimbursements and support budget monitoring for residency activities
• Assist Program Leadership with training verifications and strategic planning support
• Perform other duties as assigned
EDUCATION
- Required: Bachelor's Degree Business Administration or related field.
- Preferred: Master's Degree
WORK EXPERIENCE
- Required: 3 years Project/program coordination experience. or
- Required: 1 year Required experience with Master's degree
- May substitute required education degree with additional years of equivalent experience on a one to one basis.
- Preferred: 5 years Administrative experience to include two years in a supervisory or managerial capacity in a patient care environment.
