Coordinator, Programs!
The Black Cultural Zone CDC is seeking a highly organized and mission-driven Coordinator, Programs to provide essential coordination and documentation support across BCZ's Community Development and Economic Development initiatives. This role stewards the creation and maintenance of initiative briefs, implementation plans, program files, and KPI data - ensuring all programs are clearly documented, consistently tracked, and effectively executed. If you are a detail-oriented coordinator who is deeply committed to the restoration, preservation, and place keeping of Black culture, arts, and economic empowerment in East Oakland, we want to hear from you.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Lead program documentation: Lead the creation and update of all initiative briefs and implementation plans to ensure project details and objectives are clearly outlined and accessible across all program areas.
  • Steward file and folder management: Maintain and organize all program files and folders in Google Sheets and SmartSheets, ensuring documentation is consistently up-to-date and easily retrievable by all team members.
  • Gather and manage KPI data: Collect Key Performance Indicator (KPI) information from various teams and provide it to the central evaluation specialist for dashboard incorporation and reporting.
  • Provide cross-functional coordination support: Support other program coordinators and assist with all program implementation tasks across Community Development and Economic Development to ensure project timelines and goals are met.
  • Support logistics and implementation: Provide logistical and on-the-ground support for all program initiatives, ensuring smooth execution and effective team coordination.
  • Manage meetings and documentation: Plan, prepare agendas, create presentations, and document meeting notes; take a leadership role in attending and facilitating external and internal meetings related to the role.
  • Submit reporting and track outcomes: Submit and upload agreed-upon proof of performance, outcomes, and evaluations, and track all activity on the organizational calendar.

Status: Full-Time, Non-Exempt
Schedule: Monday-Friday; weekends and evenings as necessary
Location: Hybrid - 6 days in-person days per month at BCZ hubs and community locations
Compensation: $32.00 per hour
Benefits: Comprehensive benefits package for team members working 30+ hours per week, beginning the 1st of the month after 60 days of regular employment. BCZ pays 100% of team member premiums and 50% of dependent premiums. Benefits include Medical (Kaiser Gold 80 HMO), Dental (MetLife), Vision (MetLife), Life Insurance, Long-Term Disability, Legal Plan (MetLife MetLaw), CalSavers Retirement, Employee Assistance Program (5 free sessions per incident), Thrive Coaching, BCZ Wellness Days (4th Friday of each month), 15 observed holidays per year, 72 hours paid sick leave, and 12 vacation days per year.
