POSITION DESCRIPTION:

The Du Verger private seniors' residence, located in St-Jérôme, is looking for a Maintenance Assistant for a full-time position. We offer stable hours, a healthy work environment, and career opportunities in a rapidly growing company! Permanent, full-time position, 40 hours per week, daytime hours.


ROLE AND GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assist the maintenance manager in his tasks
Construction
  • Assist residents with any deficiencies related to services provided by the residence
  • Maintenance and monitoring of equipment (mechanical rooms, electrical rooms, pumps, furnaces, valves, etc.)
  • Make service calls
  • Minor repairs in apartments and common areas (plaster, paint, change lights, various installations, etc.)
  • Organise or perform all other related tasks regarding the maintenance department, as required and as requested by the immediate superior
  • Perform minor repairs in apartments and common areas
  • Preventive maintenance on equipment
  • Schedule and ensure that preventive maintenance is performed on equipment
  • Supervise the maintenance of the equipment
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Good team player
  • Knowledge of retirement homes, a major asset
  • A working knowledge of building maintenance (Hvac, electrical, plumbing etc.)
  • Knowledge of plumbing, electrical and minor repairs
  • A minimum of 3 to 5 years experience
  • Professional training in general building maintenance (an asset)
