About the Role:
We have a unique opportunity to use analytics to drive impact to the Waldom business through this intern opportunity. We are seeking a self-driven, highly motivated and detail-oriented Data and Pricing Analyst Intern to join our Supplier and Asset Management team reporting directly to the Vice President of Supplier and Asset Management. As a Data and Pricing Analyst Intern, you will assist in the investigation of Waldom current pricing model, market assessment of competitive pricing and drive recommended changes to pricing models for some of our top supplier partners. Within this analysis a successful candidate will complete market assessments, create automation for continual investigation. In addition, this role will support business decisions, identify trends, and optimize our operations to drive meaningful impact to our Sales goals. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in data management and analysis, work with a dynamic team, and develop skills that can be applied in various industries.
Responsibilities:
  • Lead pricing market assessments to identify opportunities where pricing strategy should be modified.
  • Working with our Global data team, provide investment analysis that will support investment decisions while creating standards and automation to improve efficiency in analysis for future analysis
  • Data management, including data cleaning, data transformation, and data visualization
  • Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform business decisions
  • Support the development and maintenance of databases, data systems, and data processes
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement data-driven solutions
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and other data visualizations to communicate insights to stakeholders

Requirements:
  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree program in Information Technology, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and ability to work with large datasets
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and experience with data analysis tools and technologies (e.g., SQL, Power BI, Tableau)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with data management, data analysis, pricing analysis or business intelligence
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools and techniques
  • Knowledge of database management systems and data modeling principles
  • Experience with programming languages, such as Python or R
