Job description

Eaton's Electrical division is currently seeking a Operations Manager to join our team in Youngsville, NC.
As the Operations Manager you will directly manage the supervisors of the YPO site and have overall responsibility for the full scope of operations. The Operations Manager directs and coordinates functions for the product line including manufacturing, technical services, supply chain, quality, and operational excellence. You will plan, coordinate, supervise and motivate the activities of all assigned employees as well as the utilization of employees assigned to peer lines to meet or exceed safety, quality, delivery, cost, and efficiency goals and supporting plant wide initiatives.
The expected annual salary range for this role is $97,000 - $143,000 a year.

What you'll do:
  • Lead in driving plant wide continuous improvement initiatives as developed through EBS pull and determined through PQ wide Key Projects.
  • Develop and lead the scorecard execution for the full plant as required for the balanced scorecard review.
  • Develop and implement the Continuous Improvement Framework for YPO and take on additional supporting roles as executed
  • Lead current and future strategic projects
  • Be an integral part of the CPS operations leadership and will be part of strategic planning for the division.
  • Participate in employment and staffing decisions, performance management decisions.
  • Maintain departmental personnel records and reports on productivity, quality, attendance and all departmental, work, vacation, overtime and related schedules.
  • Develop and implement schedules for your team and assist the supervisors in creating manpower requirements to meet or exceed production plan for the full hourly staff.
  • Monitor plant wide productivity to ensure that established quality and production levels are maintained or exceeded.
  • Engage direct reports in manufacturing LEAN initiatives including but not limited to operator standard work, 5S, pull systems, empowered work teams, and structured problem solving.
  • Provide coaching, motivation, and counseling to supervisors and direct reports to encourage optimum performance and continued skill development.
  • Implement and support behavioral based zero incident safety culture and foster an environment that promotes Eaton's goals, philosophies, and encourages continuous improvement.
  • Be accountable for daily operational performance indicators taking appropriate actions to ensure safety, quality, schedule, cost, and productivity goals are met
  • Coordinate production schedules and prioritize assembly activities to meet customer requirements

This role could be the next step in your career if you demonstrate the following experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited educational institution
  • Minimum of three (3) years of professional experience in manufacturing operations or engineering in a manufacturing environment
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience managing others

You will set yourself apart by demonstrating some or all of the following:
  • Lean Manufacturing experience/certification
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • SAP experience
