OVERVIEW:

The Smithton Distribution Center Warehouse Associates support all aspects of warehouse and merchandise processing operations at the DICK’S Sporting Goods Distribution Center. This role may include material handling, processing associates, order fulfillment, and operation of specialized equipment, depending on training and business needs. Associates are responsible for maintaining safety, accuracy, quality, and productivity standards while ensuring merchandise is properly prepared for shipment to stores.

Shifts Available:

2nd: Monday through Friday (2pm - 10pm OR 3pm - 11pm) *earn an additional $1

3rd: Sunday through Thursday (10pm - 6am OR 11pm - 7am) *earn additional $1.50

Positions:

Processing Associate: $17.50

Material Handler: $18.50

Special Equipment Operator: $19.15

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintains production standards in all areas 

  • Handle merchandise on the front end, stacking & opening boxes 

  • Verifies correct hanger is used for garment & hangs garments based on store standards 

  • Verifies correct quantities for store & case pack 

  • Performs correct pick for store for item & quantities. Reports errors found to supervisor 

  • Completes all documentation neatly & accurately 

  • Maintains a clean & safe work environment

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Candidates must be at least 18 years of age 

  • Basic reading comprehension & numerical reasoning skills 

  • Keep pace with production standards 

  • Ability to use tape machine, RF gun, gladiator & computer 

  • Problem solving

  • Manual dexterity 

  • Ability to bend, stoop, reach, stand, push, pull & lift cartons/bins weighing approximately up to 40 or up to 50 lbs. repetitively 

  • Basic English reading comprehension & numerical reasoning skills.
