Position Summary:

Deposit Processing Associate completes all aspects of deposit processing operations including daily Check21 processing, mobile deposit capture, ATM/ITM settlements and quality control to ensure consistency throughout teller areas.


Supervisory Responsibilities:

No direct reports. 


Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for the processing of check transactions through various payment channels. 
  • Review for fraud indicators for various Check 21 files such as mobile deposits, wire remittances, and ATM / ITM deposit files and coordinate resolution with other departments.
  • Responsible for the operations and balancing of the fleet of ATM / ITM terminals in conjunction with other lines of business.
  • Assist in branch operations by processing cash orders to the Federal Reserve Bank, routing of mail to the branch, researching check transaction issues, assist in balancing GL accounts tied to ATM / ITM.
  • Initiation of various wire remittance requests.



Requirements

Required Skills / Abilities:

  • Demonstrated dedication to positive, member-focused service.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills to ensure member-related issues are handled in a fair, consistent manner. 
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail. 
  • Ability to work through member situations and provide effective and accurate resolutions. 
  • Good technical skills and ability to work with multiple systems.
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines. 
  • Available to work Thursday and Friday evenings until 7:30 PM and 6:30 PM respectively on a rotation basis. 
  • Available to work Saturday between 8:30 AM and 12:00 PM on an as needed basis. 


Education / Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • One year of cash or check handling experience, preferably in a financial institution.
  • One year of fraud awareness and industry knowledge surrounding financial fraud trends.
  • Knowledge of Teller Operations and ATM support.
