Job description

Role Description:
This role oversees the end-to-end system of transforming ideas into tangible business value, focusing on creating a repeatable, efficient framework for innovation. They will bridge the gap between creative ideation and operational implementation, managing the pipeline, identifying improvement areas, fostering collaboration, and driving strategic growth.
The role will provide support to establish, operationalize, automate, and run a lightweight but scalable Innovation Portfolio Process for the Global Technology & Operations (GTO) organization, enabling consistent intake, evaluation, governance, tracking, and leadership visibility across innovation ideas and experiments.
Today, we have established some of the core processes and initial list of experiments in the innovation portfolio. However, as we run more ideas through our innovation pipeline, the portfolio and systems need to be designed and automated for scale, speed and better orchestration and tracking of value ensuring efficient progress of our high-value potential ideas from concept to reality.
Key Deliverables:
1. Innovation Process Ownership and Pipeline Management
  • Design and implement new artifacts to better support the process (e.g. Impact vs. Feasibility matrix for experiments)
  • Refine innovation process artifacts (e.g. intake form, SharePoint site, process diagrams/slides) as needed to better support the portfolio and streamline pipeline management.
  • Create suggested agenda and templates for the GTO Innovation Steering Committee monthly meeting
  • Architect the GTO Innovation Teams site and channels to support the process & documentation for various audiences
  • Identify & recommend opportunities to better collaborate across teams on common themes, experiments, or technologies to cultivate innovation across GTO.

2. Innovation Process Improvements, Optimization and Automation
  • Identify opportunities to automate portfolio processes to reduce manual effort and increase reliability and provide recommendations to GTO Innovation Steering Committee
  • Design, create and document workflow automations using P&G approved tools based on recommendations
  • Create communication plan & communications to deploy any new improvements to GTO audience
  • Execute transition of any existing ideas/submissions into the new structure as needed

3. Portfolio Metrics, KPIs & Reporting
  • Define key Innovation Portfolio KPIs (e.g., throughput, value, experiment progression)
  • Gather, analyze, and track KPI data (engage experiment leaders where necessary to provide data)
  • Prepare PowerBI dashboards and reporting views for different leadership audiences
  • Prepare materials/template for monthly status update on portfolio, automating where possible.

4. External Signals Library
  • Design the External Signals Library process, tooling and governance framework to capture and track external technology signals from market and provide visibility internally. Provide recommendations to GTO Innovation Steering Committee
  • Set up and create external signal library using P&G approved tools and populate signal library with current signals information provided by key stakeholders.

5. Training & Capability Building
  • Create a 70-20-10 training plan for GTO on AI and innovation capability. Reuse and reapply current internal resources where applicable.
