THE ROLE:

Are you passionate about solving complex problems, eliminating waste, and driving operational excellence? As a Focused Improvement Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in helping our manufacturing operation achieve World-Class performance-where safety incidents, defects, waste, and losses are driven toward zero.

In this high-impact role, you'll lead initiatives that improve how we work every day by identifying opportunities, analyzing data, and implementing sustainable solutions across key areas including:

You'll leverage advanced continuous improvement methodologies, data analytics, and problem-solving tools to uncover root causes and eliminate losses that impact performance. Working cross-functionally with operations, maintenance, quality, and supply chain teams, you'll help transform business challenges into measurable results.

A key component of this role is using our Managing Manufacturing Performance (MMP) system and Cost Deployment methodology to identify and prioritize the most significant opportunities for improvement. Your work will directly influence plant efficiency, product quality, employee engagement, and business profitability.

WHAT YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

  • Lead transformative manufacturing improvement projects that increase production output, reduce waste, and improve line performance across the factory.
  • Tackle complex operational challenges by identifying root causes of chronic equipment and process losses and implementing sustainable, data-driven solutions.
  • Drive productivity gains through initiatives that reduce downtime, shorten changeovers, eliminate waste, and improve overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
  • Champion digital transformation by deploying innovative manufacturing technologies and helping teams leverage digital tools to improve performance.
  • Partner with frontline teams and plant leaders to solve problems, coach continuous improvement practices, and build a culture of operational excellence.
  • Become a technical expert in manufacturing processes such as mixing, freezing, dosing, enrobing, and packaging while applying world-class manufacturing methodologies.
  • Develop and implement new standards and best practices that improve safety, quality, reliability, and consistency across production lines.
  • Drive proactive performance improvements by working closely with Safety, Quality, and Cost Deployment teams to identify, prioritize, and eliminate the plant's biggest opportunities for improvement.

Key Deliverables:

  • Eliminate Waste and Loss according to the UMS prioritization process using BPCD, FI, AM, PM, Q, PD pillar tools and methodologies.
  • Create Technical Standards to ensure process stability on the line.
  • Run to Standard (R2S) implementation: (Data collection and analysis, Prioritization of losses, Problem solving, SMED, AM activities definition and machine settings (Centerlines or Process parameters definition).
  • Train line crews on technical standards and restoration of basic conditions (Stability sustainability).
  • Identify and extend good practice to other lines.
  • Provide inputs of EEM pillar - MP data.
  • Factory OR and DBNR improvement.
  • NVAA reduction.
  • Application and accuracy of MMP Code data.

WE'RE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO...

  • Has experience in Focused Improvement and Kaizen activity or Continuous Programs (WCM, TPM, 6-Sigma, Lean, Etc) and can operate confidently in improvement engineering, digital enhancements, and technical knowledge.
  • Brings strong skills in attention to detail, bias for action, accountability, written and verbal communication skills, data collection and analysis, problem solving, and decision making.
  • Thinks end-to-end and takes ownerships for results
  • Is comfortable working in a fast-moving, evolving organization
  • Values collaboration, clarity and low-ego ways of working
  • 3-5 Years experience in process engineering or related roles

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, or related field

Pay: The pay range for this position is $71,400 to$107,200.The Magnum Ice Cream Company (TMICC)takes into consideration a wide range of factors that are utilized in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs.

Bonus: This position is bonus eligible.
