Job Overview
As part of the Marketing Process Improvement team, the Marketing Systems Implementation Specialist plays a critical role in driving the successful rollout, adoption, and ongoing support of standardized marketing processes and operational technology. This role focuses on execution and enablement, partnering closely with process design and MarTech teams to bring newly defined ways of working to life across Macy's Inc. - which includes Macy's, Bloomingdales, and Blue Mercury for marketing processes and operational technology.
As an individual contributor, this role translates approved process designs into clear, actionable communications, training, and support experiences that ensure teams understand, adopt, and consistently apply new processes. The Specialist is highly collaborative, detail-oriented, and user-focused-serving as a key bridge between process design and day-to-day execution.
What You Will Do
Process Rollout & Implementation
  • Execute the rollout of newly defined marketing processes developed by the Senior Manager, Process Design & Optimization and Process Design Specialists
  • Support implementation planning activities, including rollout sequencing, readiness checklists, and adoption milestones
  • Coordinate with cross-functional partners to ensure a smooth transition to new ways of working

Change Management & Communications
  • Develop clear, engaging change management communications that explain what is changing, why it matters, and how teams will work differently
  • Partner with the Process Design team to ensure messaging aligns to process intent and business objectives
  • Collaborate across marketing, merchandising, digital, and technology teams for effective implementation
  • Create implementation announcements, launch materials, FAQs, and follow-up communications to reinforce adoption

Training & Enablement
  • Produce high-quality end-user training materials, including:
  • Training presentations and decks
  • Live and virtual training session content
  • Quick reference guides, job aids, and step-by-step documentation
  • Lead live training sessions, office hours, and team-specific enablement sessions to ensure understanding and confidence
  • Tailor training content to different audiences, roles, and levels of process complexity

Post-Implementation Support
  • Provide hands-on implementation support following launch, including:
    • Hosting office hours
    • Managing process-related Q&A through designated team channels
    • Supporting additional team or role-specific training requests
  • Partner with platform, operations, or workflow teams as needed to help resolve adoption challenges

Feedback, Insights & Continuous Improvement Support
  • Capture end-user feedback, common pain points, and areas of confusion during and after implementation
  • Identify opportunities for process clarification, enhancement, or optimization
  • Share insights and recommendations with the Process Design & Optimization team to inform future iterations
  • Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement by reinforcing process standards and best practices
  • Ongoing training support for end-users on operational technology
  • Foster an environment of acceptance and respect that strengthens relationships, and ensures authentic connections with colleagues, customers, and communities

Skills You Will Need
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex processes
  • Experience creating training and enablement materials for diverse audiences
  • Comfortable facilitating live training sessions and group discussions
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through
  • Customer- and user-focused mindset with a passion for enablement and adoption
  • Ability to work effectively in a large, matrixed organization
  • Proactive, adaptable, and comfortable working within defined processes and standards

Basic Qualifications:
  • 3-6+ years of experience in:
    • Process implementation, operations, or workflow enablement or
    • Training, change enablement, or systems/process support roles
  • Experience supporting process or system changes within a marketing, operations, or enterprise environment preferred
  • Familiarity with collaboration tools, process documentation platforms, and workflow or project management systems is a plus

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience applying formal process improvement methodologies within marketing, creative operations, or enterprise workflow environments
  • Experience with Adobe Content Supply Chain solutions (Workfront, AEM, Target, etc.)
  • Experience with Microsoft Visio or LucidChart for process documentation

  • Candidates with a Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a related field are encouraged to apply.
  • Regularly required to sit, talk, hear; use hands/fingers to touch, handle, and feel. Occasionally required to move about the workplace and reach with hands and arms. Requires close vision.
