* This position is contingent upon a future opening with Gunnison.
Salary: $165,000-$175,000
Work location: Hybrid, Atlanta, GA.
  • Lead delivery of a complex federal IT portfolio that includes multiple web and data applications, shared services, and ongoing modernization efforts in a Microsoft centric environment.
  • Serve as the primary interface to client leaders on program execution, priorities, risks, issues, staffing, and performance across several concurrent projects.
  • Manage integrated schedules, roadmaps, and reporting across teams using modern work management and collaboration tools such as Azure DevOps or similar platforms.
  • Oversee governance and lifecycle compliance, ensuring project artifacts, status, and decisions are documented in line with federal IT processes and stage gate reviews.
  • Coordinate closely with technical leads who are using Git based repositories (for example, GitHub or equivalent) and automated pipelines to plan releases and manage dependencies.
  • Lead regular status reviews, portfolio health reviews, and executive briefings, including clear escalation and mitigation plans for schedule, quality, or technical risks.
  • Support transition, surge, and continuity planning in a dynamic environment where priorities, volumes, and technologies evolve over time.
  • Ensure delivery aligns with federal security, privacy, and operational requirements, working with security and compliance leads to address findings and follow up actions.

Requirements
  • US Citizenship required
  • 10+ years of federal IT program management, portfolio management, or related leadership roles.
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent workstreams across application development, integration, operations and maintenance, and modernization initiatives.
  • Experience working with government customers, contract deliverables, performance metrics, executive reporting, and formal governance processes.
  • Experience managing teams using agile or iterative delivery approaches, Git-based collaboration, and coordinated release planning.
  • Demonstrated success managing schedules, risks, staffing, communications, and cross-functional technical teams in regulated environments.
  • PMP
  • ITIL Foundation (or equivalent IT service management certification)
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or related field

Desired Qualification:
  • Experience leading programs that use GitHub and/or Azure DevOps for work tracking, source control, and release coordination.
  • Experience managing teams that deliver through CI/CD pipelines with integrated testing and security checks, not just manual deployments.
  • Experience supporting cloud migration, application modernization, or data modernization efforts in Azure, AWS, or similar cloud platforms.
  • Experience with federal health, public health, or HHS/CDC-adjacent IT programs.
  • Experience standing up or maturing IT service management practices (for example, incident, change, and problem management) using modern ITSM tools.
  • Agile certification such as CSM, PMI ACP, or SAFe.
  • Cloud certifications that support large program oversight.
  • Master's degree in a related field

Clearance Requirement: Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust.
The salary range for this position depends upon multiple factors including location, the individual's knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, and contract-specific budget constraints and organizational requirements.
