Job description


As an Engineering Program Manager at Honeywell, you will be responsible for driving predictable NPI execution of through strong execution metrics, disciplined governance, and proactive risk management. You will monitor execution health across timelines, cost, quality, and compliance, using data and leading indicators to surface risks early and drive corrective actions before they impact delivery.
You will operate and support management operating rhythms (MOS), ensuring leadership has clear, accurate visibility into program execution and that decisions translate into timely follow through. Your ability to analyze execution data, identify trends, and escalate issues with clarity will be critical to improving delivery outcomes and minimizing late stage disruptions.
You will report directly to PMO Execution Excellence Leader and will be based out of our Atlanta, GA location on a hybrid work schedule
In this role, you will play a key part in enabling consistent, data driven execution across SBG's, strengthening operational excellence, and reinforcing a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and execution discipline.
Responsibilities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Execution metrics ownership and standardization ensuring data integrity, consistency and traceability
• Translate metrics into actionable insights driving corrective actions
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project management processes and practices
• Use advanced Excel (pivot tables, lookups, complex formulas, data validation, scenario analysis) to analyze execution data, identify trends, and prepare leadership-ready insights.
• Develop and maintain interactive visualizations using enterprise visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent).
• Translate complex execution data into simple, actionable visuals for senior leadership consumption.
• Proactively surface execution risks and deviations with data-backed narratives and recommended actions, not just status.
• Enable audit visibility by tracking compliance gaps and ensuring corrective actions are documented and closed.
• Partner with PMO Excellence leaders to support continuous improvement of governance, metrics, and standard work.
• Support adherence to standard NPI execution processes (e.g., phase gate rigor, DFSS / quality checkpoints) through governance and reporting.
• Prepare GBE / SBG / enterprise execution summaries and monthly highlights with clear executive ready insights.
• Identify execution trends and variances and flag risks and deviations early with recommended follow up actions.
Qualifications
YOU MUST HAVE
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics
• Strong experience with execution metrics, dashboards, and management operating rhythms.
• Comfortable working with data, ambiguity, and multiple stakeholders in a matrixed organization.
• Demonstrated ability to drive action closure and execution discipline without direct authority.
• PMP or equivalent certification preferred but not required.
