The Role

Are you an experienced program leader with a passion for bringing structure to complex initiatives and orchestrating seamless cross-functional delivery? As a Senior Program Manager, you will serve as the connective tissue that aligns product strategy, engineering delivery, go-to-market execution, and executive stakeholders across the company. This is a high-visibility, hands-on role, reporting to the Sr. Director of Product Management, responsible for establishing program management frameworks, managing interdependencies, and driving accountability for high-priority initiatives. You will define scalable program management capabilities, facilitate GTM launch readiness across Sales, Marketing, and Operations, and serve as an operational leader focused on predictable, high-quality execution.

What You’ll Do

  • Strategic Program Execution & Roadmap Alignment: Lead cross-functional planning and execution for large-scale product initiatives, aligning multi-team execution roadmaps directly with strategic business objectives and release milestones.

  • Program Governance & Process Infrastructure: Establish, document, and continuously refine scalable program management structures, governance models, standardized templates, and delivery frameworks across the product and engineering organization.

  • Cross-Functional GTM Launch Orchestration: Orchestrate end-to-end Go-to-Market (GTM) project plans across Sales, Marketing, Support, and Operations, facilitating launch readiness reviews and post-release operational evaluations.

  • Dependency Management & Risk Mitigation: Identify, map, and actively manage complex cross-stream dependencies, system constraints, and delivery risks, proactively implementing mitigation plans to keep critical path milestones on schedule.

  • Executive Communication & Stakeholder Alignment: Define and maintain transparent status reporting, program dashboards, and executive updates while managing stakeholder expectations on scope changes, trade-offs, and risk logs.

  • Cross-Departmental Accountability: Build alignment and foster a culture of accountability across Engineering, Product, Design, and Business teams, ensuring clear ownership and follow-through on delivery commitments.

  • Framework Mentorship & Continuous Improvement: Elevate the broader team by mentoring Product Owners and team leads on program delivery best practices, driving retrospectives to continuously optimize cross-departmental delivery workflows.

What You Bring

  • End-to-End Delivery Ownership: Proven ability to orchestrate multi-team SaaS software programs and complex product launches in fast-moving environments.

  • Process Architecture & Governance: Strong track record of designing, building, and scaling program management structures, reporting frameworks, and risk management models from scratch or low maturity.

  • Cross-Functional Stakeholder Navigation: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to hold cross-functional partners accountable and present clearly to executive leadership.

  • Agile Execution & Technical Fluency: Deep understanding of software development lifecycles (SDLC) and practical Agile delivery methods (Scrum, Kanban) with the ability to navigate technical dependencies with Engineering.

  • High Autonomy & Structure Creation: Ability to bring order and clarity to ambiguous, fast-paced environments, prioritizing effectively across competing organizational priorities.

  • Data-Driven & Tooling Mastery: Highly proficient with modern work management, roadmap, and collaboration platforms (Atlassian Jira, Confluence, Asana, Miro, Figma).

Education and Experience
  • Minimum of 7+ years of technology program/project management experience required, with at least 3+ years in a Senior Program Manager role leading multi-team software execution and GTM launches in a SaaS environment.

  • Proven experience establishing program frameworks, cross-functional status reporting, and launch readiness processes.

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience strongly preferred.

  • PMI-ACP, PMP, CSM, CSPO, or equivalent project/agile management certifications preferred.

Why OnPay?

  • Momentum that matters: We’re backed by over $100MM in new funding and scaling rapidly.

  • Market-leading product: OnPay consistently ranks among the highest-rated payroll solutions, earning top marks for usability, customer satisfaction, and support.

  • Remote flexibility: Work from anywhere in the U.S., or join our collaborative HQ team in Atlanta’s Ponce City Market if you reside in the Atlanta metro area.

  • Competitive compensation: Base salary + bonus + stock options = real upside for high performers.

  • Comprehensive benefits: 4 weeks PTO + paid holidays, Medical/Dental/Vision, Short- & Long-Term Disability, Life Insurance, Fertility Benefits, Parental Leave, and a 401(k) with company match.

  • Growth culture: Join a team with deep employee benefits experience, payroll expertise, market momentum, and a genuine commitment to helping employees grow their careers.

  • Client-first ethos: OnPay is built on a culture of transparency and service — from our transparent pricing to our commitment to making small business simpler.
