We specialize in full-service restoration of portable basketball courts for the highest-profile customers including the NBA, NCAA, Olympics, and the Film Industry. We have the largest Portable Basketball production facility in the world and are unique to our industry. JOB SUMMARY:

The Print Production Manager oversees the Graphics Production division, ensuring operational excellence while reporting to the Graphics Department Director. This role combines technical production expertise, team leadership, and operational management to deliver high-quality graphics products on time and within specifications. The ideal candidate possesses strong knowledge of design/printing production processes, layout design skills, and proficiency in both Windows and Mac environments. This position requires effective communication with internal and external stakeholders, strong organizational abilities, and a commitment to staying current with industry trends and technologies. This is a local position, and work will be performed onsite at Praters, Inc. in Rossville, GA.



RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervise day-to-day operations of the Graphics Production division, including hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, and disciplining staff.
  • Monitor quality control standards throughout all production processes.
  • Provide weekly reports to the Graphics Department Director regarding production status, challenges, and achievements.
  • Foster team development and collaboration within the Production division.
  • Develop comprehensive training materials and implement skills assessment protocols.
  • Manage inventory for production and perform counts for consignment materials
  • Appoint production leads and provide clear direction for efficient job fulfillment
  • Maintain in-depth understanding of design, cutting, printing, coating, and other production processes.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance quality, efficiency, and service.
  • Stay current with the latest software and market trends, providing cost analysis and product benefit information for potential equipment purchases.
  • Establish and manage production schedules to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Plan, prioritize, and monitor workload using appropriate scheduling tools and programs.
  • Demonstrate flexibility with work schedules to accommodate project deadlines.
  • Lead effective collaboration with other department leaders to ensure seamless workflow.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and implement timely solutions.
  • Oversee equipment maintenance schedules to minimize downtime.
  • Analyze production metrics to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with all company safety protocols and industry standards.
  • Submit purchase requests to the Department Director and report on production-related costs.
  • Weekend work and overtime may be required.
  • Will always conduct himself or herself as a representative of Praters, Inc. and support the company’s missions and goals.
  • Follow all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes.
  • Perform other duties or responsibilities as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school Diploma or equivalent
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field - preferred
  • Minimum of five (5) years' experience in the design and printing industry, preferably with a sign-making company.
  • 3+ years of Production management experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat, and other graphic software.
  • Experience with various design manufacturing equipment such as printers, precision cutters, laminating equipment, etc.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows PC and Mac operating systems.
  • Prior supervisory/management experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel, Google Suite, and QuickBooks
  • Ability to work well both in a team environment and independently
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Commitment to meet deadlines and complete duties as requested with the highest quality of work
