What’s a typical day as a Precision Assembler?

You will:

  • Perform assembly work utilizing lean principles and one-piece flow to produce FDA-regulated devices in a controlled work environment.
  • Learn and follow detailed work instructions to ensure quality and consistency.
  • Assemble components including gluing, weaving, packaging, coiling, and welding using hand tools and bench-top pneumatic presses.
  • Handle and inspect small components throughout manufacturing processes.
  • Troubleshoot simple equipment malfunctions and escalate concerns when necessary.
  • Promote and maintain a safe working environment at all times.
  • Inform team leads or supervisors of production, equipment, parts, or process-related issues.
  • Work effectively with team members in a collaborative production environment.
  • Adhere to shop practices including proper gowning and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Support and promote LEAN manufacturing initiatives through standard work practices, safety observations, idea generation, and production board updates.
  • Meet quality assurance standards and complete required production documentation accurately.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
