Job description

Assembler Helper

Relieve or fill in for assemblers, finishers, stakers, or broachers within the A line department when needed. Keep A line and BC workers supplied with parts. Help load and unload material. Pull away product when complete. Moves product within department using manual and powered material handling equipment. Arrange to have material delivered from stock. Move coils of steel from inventory to presses using fork truck. Assist Supervisors in training of new operators. Assist as a truck driver to move material and dies as needed. Visually checks work using fixed gauges as required. Reports defects to Supervisors. Helps maintain a clean work area, machines, and equipment. Follows specific verbal and/or written instructions and refers difficult problems to Supervisors.
