Description
The General Assembler is responsible for assembling foam parts and components according to specifications and work instructions. This role supports daily production operations by ensuring that foam products are accurately and efficiently put together, inspected, and prepared for shipment or further processing. The ideal candidate has good manual dexterity, attention to detail, and works well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. **1 total opening**
Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble foam components by gluing, bonding, taping, or fitting materials according to instructions.
  • Read and follow job instructions, blueprints, or work orders to complete assignments accurately.
  • Inspect materials and finished products for quality and conformance to specifications.
  • Operate hand tools, hot wire cutters, band saws, or other equipment as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, following all safety and housekeeping procedures.
  • Report defective materials, equipment malfunctions, or safety concerns to the supervisor.
  • Assist in packaging, labeling, or moving finished goods as needed.
  • Meet production deadlines while maintaining consistent quality standards.
  • Participate in training and cross-training across various assembly and fabrication tasks.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Prior machine operation experience in a manufacturing or foam fabrication environment is a plus.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and understanding of machine functions.
  • Basic math skills and ability to use measuring tools (ruler, tape measure).
  • Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality control.
  • Must be able to read and understand work instructions, safety rules, and machine settings in English.
  • Bilingual (e.g., English/Spanish) is a plus for effective communication on a diverse team.
