Job description

Job Description:

Flex is seeking an Automation Technician to support high-speed assembly equipment and manufacturing systems. This role is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving automated production equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient manufacturing operations. The technician will partner with automation and engineering teams to perform preventive maintenance, support equipment qualification activities, and enhance overall equipment performance.

Key Skills:

  • Preventive maintenance of automation systems, robotic equipment, and manufacturing machinery.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical and pneumatic systems in automated production environments.
  • Support equipment qualification, validation, documentation, and operational specifications.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve equipment performance and ensure workplace safety.

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in a technical field preferred.
  • 2 4+ years of automation, equipment maintenance, or related manufacturing experience.
  • Experience troubleshooting mechanical systems and knowledge of pneumatic systems.
  • Experience working in manufacturing or automated assembly environments preferred.

Additional Skills:

  • Familiarity with robotic systems and preventive maintenance processes.
  • Ability to maintain software, equipment documentation, and operational records.
  • Proficiency in using power tools and measuring equipment safely and effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
