POSITION VISION Point of Sale (POS) Manager oversees the strategy, execution, and performance of all POS systems and materials across the organization. This role serves as the central link between Operations, Sales, and Brand Management, ensuring POS materials are deployed from warehouse to market efficiently, on time, and in alignment with supplier brand standards and sales objectives.
QUANTIFIABLE POSITION OBJECTIVES 1. Maintain POS availability for all priority sales programs and seasonal initiatives.
2. Unpack and designate point of sale
3. Maintains a safe working environment by removing tripping hazards, keeping pathways open, and keeping items properly stacked.
QUALITATIVE POSITION OBJECTIVES
1. Ability to manage POS Coordinators
2. Ability to travel between locations, ensuring accurate inventories.
3. Receive, sort and distribute point of sale to the designated destination
4. Effectively communicate current inventory levels with all levels of management Sales, Ops and Brand.
PLANNING AND STRATEGY DEVELOPMENT
LOSS PREVENTION OBJECTIVES:
1. Ensure the room is always clean and orderly.
2. Develop and manage the overall POS strategy to support brand priorities, sales initiatives, seasonal programs, and new product launches.
3. Ensure consistent execution of POS across all retail channels (on-premises, off-premises, convenience, grocery, chain accounts)
4. Implement controls to track POS usage, recovery, and loss.
5. Track and report POS usage against supplier programs
6. Current POS must be maintained, and non-current POS should be locked up as directed by the brand/sales manager.
7. Build a process for sales reps to order POS and correctly remove items from Eostar when POS is taken out of stock from the back room.
i. Maintain Inventory of existing permanent POS items.
1. Inventory Maintenance
8. Responsible for all incoming POS shipments, including UPS/FedEx deliveries and delivering packing slips to the proper individual once the received date is recorded in the POS Tool.
i. Create New POS Items within the POS Tool upon arrival and receipt.
1. Setup all POS attributes and item information within Eostar to include:
ii. Track and fulfill POS requests received utilizing the POS Tracker.
1. Observe daily the POS requests submitted within the New POS Request Queue
2. When the POS items are ready for pickup, move the item into the Pickup Queue.
3. Monitor the POS to Be Placed Queue to ensure placement has been accomplished. Follow up on all variances by contacting the appropriate contact.
9. Maintain and update paper sign storage.
10. Dispense paper POS for special in-field programs and permanent POS according to allocation requirements given to you by Sales Managers. Sales Managers are to provide an updated sales rep's chain matrix.
11. Manage neon breakage: ensure broken neon's are properly disposed of. Broken neon's are not to be repaired unless authorized by Sales Manager.
12. Caged Area: POS manager is responsible for ensuring caged area is clean and orderly. Brand Managers are responsible for individual lockers, but POS Coordinator is responsible for putting away items that need to be caged.
13. Assist others and perform other tasks as appropriate and/or assigned

MINIMUM/PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to walk; sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The employee must be able to drive for short or long periods of time.
WORK ENVIRONMENT CONDITIONS
Must be comfortable interacting with retail accounts. Exposed to all weather conditions due to the amount of travel associated with position. Ability to drive to branch locations as required.
ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
Must hold a valid, clean NYS driver's license that is acceptable to our insurance carrier along with practicing/demonstrating responsible drinking habits.
