Responsibilities

The POS Temporary Associate assist the Store Support Center by fielding calls from Spencer's, Spirit, and Spirit Christmas stores.  They will troubleshoot Software, Hardware, and Network calls, as well as assisting the Store Support Center with ongoing projects.  The support center runs 7 days a week, 18 hours a day divided into Day, Mid, and Night shifts. 

  • Provide first level support for store software, including diagnosing, troubleshooting, and escalating issues as necessary
  • Provide first level support of store hardware.  Troubleshoot and resolve various hardware related issues, clearly guiding stores over the phone
  • Provide first level WAN support for the installation, performance and troubleshooting of store WAN equipment, and escalate outages and unresolved WAN issues to the WAN team
  • Perform operational functions of polling store data
  • Collaborate with and work alongside Store Support Center Associates, Specialists and WAN techs
  • Assist with projects as necessary, configuring devices or assisting the POS warehouse
  • Ensure that daily tasks are completed and all problems are either resolved or escalated in the absence of a Leadership team member
  • Assess initial store problem identification and supporting field emergencies after business hours, including Store Maintenance, Asset Management, and Operational issues by placing service call to appropriate contractors, or escalating issues as necessary
Qualifications
  • Must have High School Diploma; further education or experience in IT or retail is a plus
  • Must have strong communication skills
  • Must have troubleshooting skills and an eagerness to learn
  • Must be able to work weekends
