*Job Summary*
The Kitchen Manager is responsible for managing all kitchen operations within a convenience store, including food preparation, inventory control, staff supervision, food safety compliance, and customer satisfaction. This position ensures efficient kitchen performance while maintaining high standards of food quality and cleanliness.
*Responsibilities*
* Supervise all kitchen operations including food preparation, cooking, and food production to ensure timely service and high-quality output
* Manage inventory control by monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste through effective food management practices
* Oversee food safety protocols in compliance with health regulations and maintain cleanliness standards across the kitchen area
* Train, develop, and mentor kitchen staff on food handling, culinary techniques, POS systems like Aloha POS and Micros POS, and customer service excellence
* Coordinate shift management by scheduling staff efficiently to meet restaurant demands during peak hours
* Handle cash transactions accurately using POS systems and perform cash handling duties with integrity
* Conduct regular staff meetings to promote teamwork, communicate expectations, and support ongoing training & development initiatives
*Qualifications:*
* High school diploma or equivalent; culinary or food service training preferred.
* Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or convenience store operations.
* Supervisory or management experience preferred.
* Knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation standards.
* Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
* Food Handler's Permit and/or ServSafe Certification preferred
*Physical Requirements*
