Job description

The Retail Assistant Store Manager plays a pivotal role in supporting the Store Manager and management team by overseeing daily operations, managing a medium-sized team of 6-15 staff, and ensuring a seamless customer experience. This position focuses on maintaining inventory accuracy, achieving sales targets, facilitating staff training, and upholding high standards of customer service in a dynamic retail environment.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and support a team of 6-15 retail staff
  • Conduct weekly inventory audits to maintain stock accuracy
  • Monitor and report on monthly sales targets performance
  • Assist customers to enhance satisfaction and resolve conflicts
  • Manage cash handling and Point of Sale (POS) operations
  • Create staff schedules and coordinate periodic training sessions
  • Oversee merchandising and ensure proper product displays
  • Generate and submit operational reports to Store and Regional Managers

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in retail management
