Job description

Job Description:
GENERAL PURPOSE:
The PM3 is responsible for planning, executing, monitoring, and influencing the specific elements of a project to ensure completion of a project on time and within budget, while meeting product financials and quality goals. They serve as a mentor within the PMO and are sought for guidance on unique project challenges, industry trends related to PM functions, and process improvements
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Work within the scope of the BraunAbility product development (Stage-Gate) and other PMO processes to manage various projects and other strategic initiatives.
  • Support Product Portfolio with coordination of upcoming programs through resource heatmaps and project priority planning
  • Critically involved in ideation and planning stages of the project along with Portfolio and other departments to set new projects up for success. This looks like leading the development of baseline project timing, product cost, and project budget including in unconventional or complex scenarios.
  • Track and manage the scope, timeline, and costs of assigned projects and compare with baseline targets. Forecast final project costs and timing, with an emphasis on recovery when necessary.
  • Lead the team to identify program risks proactively and mitigate them.
  • Identify program risks proactively and mitigate them through the support of the cross functional team
  • Conduct and motivate cross functional team meetings to manage the project and to promote communication and problem resolution
  • Guide team through lessons learned activities and lead improvement activities driven by those lessons including documenting and training the organization as applicable.
  • Identify the expectations of internal and external customers, and strive to meet all applicable to quality robustness, budget, and timing
  • Lead Steering Committee or other stakeholder meetings to provide the organization updates on various projects
  • Build on existing external relationships with vendors and OEs to promote future programs

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering or a business discipline preferred.
  • PMP certification preferred.
  • APQP certification preferred.
  • A minimum of 10 years of related work experience to include 4 years of project management experience utilizing management processes (ex. Stage-Gate) or 4 years of experience launching new vehicle or lift products required.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience equal to 10 years of related experience to include direct project management experience utilizing management processes (ex. Stage-Gate) or experience launching new vehicle or lift products required.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
  • Proven ability to influence cross functional teams required
  • Strong knowledge of stage-gate product development process and AIAG APQ requirements needed
  • Ability to handle multiple projects needed
  • Strong organizational skills are needed
  • Strong business acumen needed
  • Technical understanding of BraunAbility products preferred
