What do aerospace interns do?

Aerospace interns assist with various tasks related to aircraft and spacecraft projects, including design, testing, data analysis, and documentation. They often work under the supervision of engineers and project managers, gaining hands-on experience with tools like CAD software and industry standards. Internships typically involve a combination of technical work and learning opportunities in a professional aerospace environment.

How to get a project manager internship?

To secure an internship as an aerospace project manager, candidates should have a background in aerospace engineering or related fields, demonstrate strong organizational and communication skills, and gain experience with project management tools like MS Project or Primavera. Applying through company career portals, networking with industry professionals, and obtaining relevant certifications such as PMP or CAPM can improve chances. Internships often require a current student status or recent graduation and may involve a structured program with mentorship components.

Can an intern be a project manager?

In most cases, an intern cannot serve as a formal project manager, as this role requires experience, responsibility, and often certification.
